Ticketing / On Sale
When does Becoming Brave go on sale?

Becoming Brave goes on sale Friday, February 14th at 10 am MT/Noon ET.

Are there any additional fees charged on top of my Ticket price?

Yes. Applicable tax and fees will be added at check out.

Are payment plans available?

Yes, you will have the option to opt into the payment plan at the time of purchase.

How do payment plans work?

If you choose to opt into the payment plan,  a deposit of 10% will be due at the time of purchase, with equal payments of your remaining balance automatically processed on the 3rd of each month. The final payment is due on August 3rd.

Please note there is a $20.00 fee to opt into the payment plan.

Can I pay for My Tickets using more than one credit card?

Yes, you can use more than one credit card by changing your payment method in your Tixr account.

How Is My Final Price Determined?

Your final price is determined by the amount of tickets you choose plus the cost of your desired camping option and any add-ons you select.

How old do I have to be to purchase a Ticket To Becoming Brave?

You must be 18 years old to purchase a ticket to Becoming Brave. Additional guest(s) in your group can be under 18. 

Becoming Brave is open to all ages.

I purchased Tickets as a gift for someone else and am not attending.

For tickets that are purchased as a gift, please reach out to info@becomingbrave.co within 48 hours of your purchase date to update the guest name.

Are Tickets refundable?

All tickets are non-refundable.

The Ticket or Camping Spot I want is not available, is there a waitlist?

When tickets or camping spots are no longer available, the waitlist will open. Being on the waitlist does not guarantee you a ticket.

Is it okay to buy Tickets from third party vendors like StubHub?

Tickets will not be valid if they have been purchased through any platform other than Tixr. Tickets will be voided and it is unlikely the 3rd party vendor will issue you with a refund. Please only book your tickets through Becoming Brave and Tixr.

What information is needed to check in for Becoming Brave?

US Nationals and residents, please ensure you provide an approved photo ID such as a driver’s license or passport. If you are an international visitor, you must provide a passport to check in.

Are the cost of adventures included in my Ticket?

One daily off-site adventure is included on Friday and Saturday in the “Weekend Pass with Adventures” ticket only. This also includes transportation to and from the off-site adventure.

Will I get to choose the adventures I go on?

Each guest will choose their adventure on Friday. Saturday the adventure is led by Mark Vins and is the same for each guest. Adventure sign-ups are first come, first serve. The adventure options will be sent out closer to the event date.

What adventures will be available?

Our off-site adventures will offer a variety of ways to explore Zion National Park and the surrounding area. Stay tuned for more information on which adventures you can choose from!

When can I choose my adventures?

You will be able to choose which off-site adventure you would like closer to the event date.

Is transportation included to and from the adventures?

Yes, all transportation is included to and from the off-site adventures. Guests are always able to drive themselves as well if they would like.

Are the cost of meals included With my Ticket?

Yes, select meals are included in the cost of your ticket.

Which meals are included during the weekend?

During the weekend, you will be provided the following meals:

  • Thursday: Dinner
  • Friday: Lunch
  • Saturday: Lunch
  • Sunday: Breakfast
Can you accommodate specific dietary restrictions?

Yes, we can accommodate most dietary restrictions.

When will the meet & greet with Mark Vins be?

The meet & greet with Mark Vins will be scheduled during the weekend outside of any scheduled off-site adventures

What other activities will be available throughout the weekend?

There will be plenty of other activities throughout the weekend including fireside chats, s’mores, wilderness specific seminars, games and more!

Where Do I collect My Becoming Brave Merchandise Item?

All tickets elements will be picked up at the Becoming Brave Will Call at St George/Hurricane KOA. Will Call details will be emailed to you 7-10 days prior to the event

Can you build custom packages?

If you are interested in a custom package, please reach out to info@becomingbrave.co and we will make our best effort to accommodate your request.

Travel
Is airfare provided?

No, airfare is not included.

What is the closest airport to Becoming Brave?

The closest airports are:

  • St George Regional Airport (SGU): 30 Minutes
  • Las Vegas International Airport (LAS): 2.5 Hours
Is there transportation provided to and from the airport and St George/Hurricane KOA?

No, transportation between the airport and Base Camp is not included.

Do you provide travel insurance?

Travel Insurance is Recommended for your trip to Becoming Brave Zion

If you are looking to insure your trip to Becoming Brave Zion, we recommend Wanderwell.

It is important to purchase coverage as soon as possible as some benefits are time sensitive.

We have a preferred partnership with Wanderwell, a travel insurance provider that aligns with our values and focuses on benefit-rich plans and personable support.

Trip Protection plans provide benefits for Trip Cancellation if you are prevented from taking your trip due to a covered reason, and having a plan that includes coverage for Extreme Sports activities can be a good fit for this trip!

Wanderwell will donate 1% of the revenue from insurance sales for this trip to the 1% for the Planet Impact Fund.

What is the best way to get to St George/Hurricane KOA?

We would recommend renting a car as the best option to travel from the airport to Becoming Brave.

I am driving to St George/Hurricane KOA Is there parking available?

All RV and Camp Sites include parking for (1) one vehicle. There is also overflow parking available as well. There is no additional cost for parking

Accommodations
What Is Becoming Brave Base Camp?

Base Camp is the main hub for all of the action during the weekend, located at St George/Hurricane KOA campground. Becoming Brave has reserved a specific area of the campground that will only be accessible to Becoming Brave guests. This is where the weekend activities will happen, as well as where guests will depart for their adventures.

Do I Have To Stay At Becoming Brave Base Camp?

Yes, camping is part of the experience and we want all of our guests to be together throughout the weekend. By staying at Base Camp, we invite and encourage all guests to immerse themselves in nature.

Do The Camping And RV Spots Have Bathrooms?

No, there are no private bathrooms included with any tent camping or RV camping locations.

All RV Spots include a sewer and water hook up.

What are the shared bathrooms like?

The shared bathrooms at the St George KOA are fully enclosed in their own building, with a men's and women's side. Each side includes multiple sinks and enclosed stalls for toilets and shower/changing areas. These areas are maintained and cleaned daily for guest comfort.

Is there parking at our tent?

Each camping spot can accommodate one (1) vehicle. There is an overflow parking lot on site for any additional vehicles.

Does My Camping Spot come With Towels and Toiletries?

‍No, you must provide your own towels and toiletries. 

Is bedding provided?

No, you must bring all your own camping supplies with you. Becoming Brave will also have options to rent camping gear if needed.

Are pets allowed?

Pets are NOT allowed to attend Becoming Brave.

Is there WiFi?

There is limited Wi-Fi available at St George/Hurricane KOA. It is not able to support streaming or gaming.

When will I find out The Location Of My Camping Spot?

You will find the exact location of your camping site at Becoming Brave Will Call. 

All additional information about tickets, including Will Call time and location, will be emailed out 7-10 days before the event. We recommend checking your spam inbox for these emails if you do not see them.

The information you provide at the time of purchase (name, email) will be the same information used for email contact and St George/Hurricane KOA reservation. Please make sure to provide an active email and phone number so that we can give you all of the information you will need about your experience.

How many people can stay in my Camping Spot?

The amount of people who can stay in your tent is based on your camping spot. Each spot is only designed to hold a specific number of people.

All camping and RV spots include up to 4 people in your reservation. You can add additional guests at check out.

Do you have any larger group or family tents?

Yes, we recommend Premium tent or RV camping spots, as they are larger and meant for larger groups. You can also do two Pull-Through RV Sites, which are meant to be buddy sites.

I would like to stay an extra night at St George/Hurricane KOA. What should I do?

If you would like to extend your stay, you can book additional nights directly from the St George/Hurricane KOA website. When you reach out let them know you would like to extend your Becoming Brave reservation. Please be sure that you are booking the same type of camping spot as your Becoming Brave reservation, otherwise you will have to move camping spots.

Once you have booked your additional nights, contact us at info@becomingbrave.co with your confirmation number.

I booked my own extra night at St George/Hurricane KOA, can I combine my reservations so I do not have to switch camping spots?

If you have booked the same camping spot as your purchased add on, we are able to connect your reservations. Please contact us at info@becomingbrave.co with this request.

When do I check in and check out?

All guests check in on Thursday and out on Sunday. 

Check-In Time: 1:00pm

Check Out Time: 11:00am

Late checkouts are allowed at St George/Hurricane KOA pending availability for an additional cost.  

Can my Camping Spot be close to my friends?

For proximity requests please reach out to info@becomingbrave.co with the Purchaser Names of both camping spots as well as the Tixr order numbers. While proximity requests are not guaranteed, we will do our best to accommodate all requests.

General
What is the weather like in September?

In September, St George, Utah has warm days with average high temperatures around 85–90°F (29–32°C) and cooler nights. The weather is generally dry, with lower humidity and occasional thunderstorms early in the month. It's a great time to visit as temperatures start to ease from the intense summer heat.

What if there is rain or other weather during the weekend?

Becoming Brave is a rain or shine event.

Can I film or take photos during the weekend?

Yes! Filming and photography are absolutely encouraged throughout the entire weekend.

Can I bring my own food/drinks?

Yes, you are welcome to bring your own food and drinks! Remember that we are in nature and there is wildlife in the area. Please be sure to bring containers for food and do not leave any food unattended overnight out in the open.

Is alcohol served?

No, but it is permitted for guests over the age of 21.

Can I bring alcohol to Becoming Brave?

Yes, you are welcome to bring your own alcohol to Becoming Brave.

Do I have to go on an adventure?

If you do not want to participate in the adventures, choose a Weekend Pass (Without Adventures).
